Fans may see Mike Evans playing some other team in the next season

Star wide receiver Mike Evans is announcing some big news. The long-term Tampa Bay player might not be part of the squad in 2024. This upcoming season could be the last season for the Mike with Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Mike Evans team gave a last chance to the Bucs’ committee to announce the decision regarding the contract extension otherwise they may lose him in free agency.
It seems Evans is fully ready to be the free agent next offseason and will look for a new landing spot. As per reports, Mike would like to agree on a contract extension from the team who drafted him.
Mike Evans was drafted in the seventh overall pick in 2014 by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and he has spent his all played seasons with them only.
Evans agency gave Tampa Bay a deadline to get a long-term deal with them on Friday morning. The team has until September 8 to agree on a contract extension.
“We have been working on extending Mike’s career with the Bucs for over a year, and we want the fans to know this is not a tactic and the ball is in the owner’s court,” Day 1 Sports and Entertainment said. “That said, we are giving the Bucs until the start of the regular season to make him a Buc for Life, and if that cannot happen, 100 percent of Mike’s focus will be on football and his future and where he can continue to make an impact.”

If the terms from both sides will not be on the same page, we might see Mike Evans playing somewhere else in 2024.
Evans is currently 30 years old but still, going by his past record he can prove to be a game-changer for any team.
Fans immediately started to react on the matter and shared their opinions online.
“Joe Douglas will definitely be making calls.
Mike Evan’s has had at least 1000 yards every season of his career. Would hate for that streak to end #Jets”, a fan tweeted.

“Ik how this is gonna go, he’s gonna be a Jet or a Chief somehow, which is sad cuz I only know him by wearing a Bucs jersey and it’s nasty to picture him anywhere else,” one fan commented.

“If I were the Bucs let him walk. Don’t want to pay WRs 20M in the latter years of their career.” “TRUST ME!, ” another fan said.

“This would be so disappointing. Mike Evans is a Buccaneer. One of the most underrated WRs I’ve ever seen play. Would love to see him finish his career and retire with the team,” a third fan wrote.

In nine seasons with the Buccaneers, he has hauled in 683 receptions for 10,425 yards and 81 touchdowns. He is undoubtedly one of the best players.
