As per reports, a familiar face is heading to the locker room this summer to join running back Saquon Barkley. Rumor says the Eagles have snagged former New York Giants wide receiver Parris Campbell for a one-year contract.

According to Adam Schefter from ESPN, this is a done deal. Campbell, who made 20 receptions for 104 yards and eight kickoff returns in just 12 games with the Giants last season, is sure to bring some serious talent to the Eagles’ roster.

“Former Giants WR Parris Campbell reached agreement on a one-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles, per sources,” Schefter said on X.

Parris Campbell, the electrifying wide receiver who took the football world by storm after being drafted in the second round by the Indianapolis Colts in the 2019 NFL Draft. With a stellar college career at Ohio State under his belt, Campbell was poised to make a huge impact in the NFL. However, despite his undeniable talent, injuries and limited playing time held him back from reaching his full potential.

Campbell’s time under head coach Nick Sirianni’s guidance in Indianapolis could prove to be a game-changer for the Eagles. With Sirianni now at the helm in Philadelphia, Campbell has the opportunity to showcase his skills in a familiar and successful system.

But, let’s not forget the talent already on the Eagles’ receiving roster. A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith are already established as the top two targets, while the addition of DeVante Parker adds even more depth to the mix.

“Could Parris Campbell be the underdog story of the year for the Philadelphia Eagles? With his impressive ability to catch nearly 70% of his targets and a five-year career under his belt, he’s a contender for a spot on the final 53-man roster.

But will he rise to the challenge and become a key player for the Eagles in 2024? Or will he struggle to even make it out of training camp?
