Dallas Cowboys and Trevon Diggs have a new deal
Trevon Diggs has established himself as a critical player for the Dallas Cowboys in some past seasons. Trevon’s skill and hard work have increased the interest of the Dallas Cowboys in him. He has now become one of the top cornerbacks in the NFL.
Now Dallas Cowboys wants Trevon Diggs to play more with them as per reports. They have reportedly begun a contract extension program with Trevon. Report says the Dallas Cowboys and Trevon’s team have started the initial talks of the contract extension.Â
If this goes all correctly then the fans will see star all-pro cornerback Trevon Diggs again for some years in the Dallas Cowboys.
As per ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler (via Dov Kleiman), the Cowboys was in some preliminary talks with Trevon regarding some new potential deal. The current market value of the top Cornerback is $21 million per year.

There is no official disclosure of the confirmed contract extension or the money regarding the contract extension but many reports and sources have confirmed that the preliminary talks with Diggs have begun.Â
Trevon Diggs was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in the second round of the 2020 NFL draft. He played college football at Alabama. Initially, he was not a cornerback, he was playing for some else positions.
In high school, he played defensive back and wide receiver. During his freshman year at Alabama in 2016, Diggs demonstrated his versatility by playing as a safety, wide receiver and return specialist.

He finished his freshman year with five tackles and a forced fumble on defense, 11 receptions for 88 yards and a touchdown on offense, and an impressive 296 return yards on special teams. In 2017, as a sophomore, Diggs switched to “Cornerback” for full-time.
After the NFL draft in 2020, Diggs showed his abilities and skills, which greatly impressed the Cowboys and is now in talks for a contract extension. Diggs has proven himself over the past three seasons and has instilled confidence in the teams and staff members. Due to this Trevon Diggs has been selected to consecutive Pro Bowls and earned first-team All-Pro honors.
Now it looks like Diggs could be a big part of Dallas’ future along with star pass rusher Micah Parsons.
Trevon is set to earn $4.3 million in the final year of his rookie contract, but it looks like both sides are looking to move on and exceed the deal.
