News surfaced that the team’s most recent signing is unable to play with the team throughout the league due to a brutal knee injury, the injury may affect the whole 2023 season.

This offseason the team Jets made several big signings paying attention to the defense area. The team upgraded its roster by adding good players, but one of its key players will have to wait a year to play with the team.

According to a tweet posted by Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Jets’ new Safety Chuck Clark will be absent throughout the 2023 season after suffering a season-ending knee injury.

Safety Chuck Clark injured his knee during the final week of practice during voluntary organized team activities. Rapoport also added a second opinion in his tweet saying the injury explains why the Jets signed veteran Adrian Amos the same week.

Last March the Jets acquired Chuck Clark in a trade with the Ravens. He was a three-year starter for the Ravens before trading to the Jets. He was set to start with the Jets after serving the previous five years for the Ravens. Last season he played in all 17 games with the Ravens and ended the year with a career-high 101 total tackles.
