The former FOX Sports sideline reporter Charissa Thompson made some revelations about her career which shocked the Sports world.

As a sideline reporter, they are to provide updates to the viewers of what coaches said during halftime or updates on players if any have suffered injuries.

Star sideline reporter Charissa Thompson confirmed that she had an alternative way of doing that.

To be a sideline reporter is not an easy job. You sometimes have to talk to trainers when they are sad, upset and in no mood to answer questions. When their team does not perform well in the first half and the coach is angry or upset, then the job becomes more difficult.

Charissa Thompson revealed that she would fake quotes from coaches when needed.

“I’ve said this before.” “I haven’t been fired to saying it, but I’ll say it again. I would make up the report sometimes, because the coach wouldn’t come out at halftime, or it was too late and I didn’t want to screw up the report. So I was like, ‘I’m just gonna make this up’. Because first of all, no coach is gonna get mad if I say, ‘Hey, we need to stop hurting ourselves, we need to be better on third down, we need to stop turning the ball over and do a better job of getting off the field.’ They’re not gonna correct me on that. So I’m like, it’s fine, I’ll just make up the report.”

Doesn’t matter how hard is your job, if you have chosen it, then you should do it honestly.

Many popular figures and sideline reporters have condemned Charissa Thompson for faking the news. Even fans are showing their displeasure.

“That’s a pretty lame thing to do at a professional level,” a fan said.

“So basically confirms that every sideline, coach interview is just hot air and never has mattered,” another fan said.

“This is 100% what they teach you in journalism school NOT to do… at least it used to be taught,” a third fan commented.

There are a lot of comments on X ( formerly known as Twitter) that show their angriness.
